This role is part of our Product & Engineering Department at group level, meaning you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across countries and contribute to the development of our shared platform. As a result, this position can be filled in Germany or the Netherlands

Please note that remote work from outside these countries is not possible, except in the context of our workation option (see below).

Your role at Acture

As a Software Engineer at Acture, you’ll play a key role in building and improving our platform alongside a collaborative and driven engineering team. If Ruby on Rails is your track, you’ll feel right at home here.

You will:

  • Co-develop new features for the Acture platform across both backend and frontend
  • Collaborate with the team to discuss ideas and actively shape the user experience
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and help improve platform stability, performance, and scalability
  • Test and QA features before deployment to ensure high-quality releases
  • Work with a modern tech stack including Ruby on Rails, RSpec, Capybara, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, and Tailwind CSS
  • Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and maintain a clean, efficient, and sustainable codebase

Your profile

You’re a hands-on full-stack engineer who enjoys building reliable software and continuously improving your craft.

  • At least 4 years of experience as a full-stack software engineer
  • Strong, in-depth knowledge of Ruby on Rails
  • Bachelor-level thinking and working ability
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL), REST APIs, HTML, and CSS
  • Familiarity with MVC frameworks and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Understanding of architectural patterns and system design principles
  • A strong focus on clean code and thorough testing
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English (C1 or higher)
