Your role at Acture

As a Financial Controller / General Ledger Accountant (m/f/d), you are a key part of our Finance team and ensure that our financial processes are reliable, efficient, and built for the future. You are responsible for the general ledger, support the preparation of financial statements, and play a vital role in ensuring that our financial reporting is accurate and delivered on time at all times.

In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you actively contribute to the continuous improvement and digitalization of our financial processes. Working closely with internal stakeholders as well as external partners such as tax advisors and auditors, you help ensure that we meet the growing demands of a scaling business.


Your Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for fixed asset accounting and ensure its accurate and compliant management.
  • You review, analyze, and reconcile balance sheet and intercompany accounts.
  • You prepare VAT returns and ensure their timely submission.
  • You support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • You work closely with auditors, tax advisors, and internal departments.
  • You ensure compliance with legal requirements as well as internal policies and guidelines.
  • You analyze existing finance and accounting processes, document them, and continuously improve them.
  • You actively contribute to cross-functional projects and support the further development of our Finance function.
In doing so, you help ensure that Acture continues to grow on a strong financial foundation while establishing scalable processes for the future.

Your profile

We’re looking for people who enjoy taking ownership, work in a structured way, and are passionate about actively improving finance processes.
  • You have successfully completed a commercial apprenticeship, a degree with a focus on Finance, Accounting, or a comparable qualification.
  • You bring several years of professional experience in financial accounting, general ledger accounting, or accounting-related roles.
  • You have solid knowledge of accounting principles as well as experience preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • You have experience with VAT and tax-related matters.
  • You work in a highly structured, accurate, and responsible manner.
  • You have a strong analytical mindset and enjoy challenging and optimizing existing processes.
  • You have a hands-on mentality and take ownership of topics proactively and independently.
  • You thrive in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment and enjoy collaborating across functions.
  • You have excellent German language skills (C1) and good English language skills (minimum B2).
